dorkatimarceramics functional ceramics are inspired primarily by nature and East Asian form culture. The pieces are handmade as one-offs or in small series, and are closely tied to everyday dining: bowls, plates, cups, mugs, and ceramics for tea-making form the collections. A harmonious balance of simple shapes, clean lines, and subtle details defines the brand’s aesthetic.

The creator has been working with clay for nearly thirty years. They enjoy experimenting with soft, natural colors, glazes with different surface qualities, and a variety of textures. It is important to them that the trace of the human hand remains visible on each piece—along with the beauty of a slow, conscious making process.

Creating is often a meditative state: focused attention and a delicate dialogue between the maker and the clay. At other times it feels more like a dance, where every movement, touch, breath, and the curve of a tool tells a story. The forms and surfaces become moments of this conversation—preserved in stillness.
