For four years, the Lizipot manufactory has been producing unique ceramics for private individuals and fine dining restaurants. The minimal, contemporary pieces are designed by Liza Rózsavölgyi.
Her black ceramics are made from high quality velvet clay fired at 1230C. They are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. These rustic stoneware are at once European and Asian inspired, influenced by minimalism, Wabi-Sabi ideas and the raw complexity of utilitarian objects. Mugs, pitchers, cutlery, crockery, plates, kitchen utensils, storage, home decor products all harmonise with each other. With the specificity of the velvety clay, the traces of the making process and the metallic-stone effect of the object, these objects bring the ancient essence of ceramic technique into our everyday life.
Unlike cast, mass-produced objects, handmade objects have a soul and help to personalise the world around us. A fingerprint, a curl, an unusual pattern or colour change, the kind of inimitable ’imperfection’ that makes each handmade object unique.
