Mátyás Zagiba is a ceramic designer. He studied at the Ceramic and Porcelain Studio of UMPRUM in Prague. Prior to that, he studied at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest, and completed a professional internship at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen.
His work primarily focuses on material research and experimentation with alternative ceramic firing techniques. His creations sit on the boundary between functional objects and autonomous artworks.
In 2024, he won the student category award at the Hungarian Ceramic Triennial. Alongside his own artistic practice, he also documents monumental ceramics in Slovakia as part of the LenHlina project.
The brand appears at the event as part of the Hello Magyar Design initiative.
