Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana have created a collection called "Sicily is my Love". This is the second step in the collaboration between the two Italian brands: the first fruits of their operation were hand-painted Smeg refrigerators by Sicilian artists, which are now followed by small machines. Toasters, citrus pressers, coffee makers, blenders, fruit presses, robotic machines, and kettles are permeated by the mood of southern Italy: citrus, cactus, bright red cherries, and the typical Sicilian triangle patterns ("crocchi") are the decorations of these cuisine tools. There are subtle floral motifs, inspired by the magnificent landscape, stunning images of Etna, Greek temple ruins of Castor and Pollux, and decorative motifs similar to stylized acanthus leaves. All the aesthetic symbols that are inextricably linked to Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s Sicily, and in general to Italy.
